Vietnam has various types of oranges.

While the Cao Phong orange from Hoa Binh Province is famous, many have flavors that are hard for Japanese people to enjoy. Therefore, Shun sells a type called Cam Sành (Sành orange), which is mainly grown in Bac Giang Province.

The orange peel is green, turning yellow-green and thick with a rough texture when ripe. The flesh is deep yellow-orange, sweet and sour, with a strong fragrance. Compared to Japanese oranges, it’s less sweet and more tart, so the texture when eaten fresh is a bit different.

In Vietnam, oranges are often consumed as juice. They are rich in vitamin C, dietary fiber, folate, and antioxidants, helping boost immunity, beautify skin, and are low in calories, making them a very popular fruit.
